I went to SF with my daughter’s family and their dog, Coffee, by car, directly from our house to the Golden Gate Bridge, on Friday, October 24, 2015. It was a long journey, but the time went by fast. After crossing the bridge, we stopped at Vista Point, (north of the Golden Gate Bridge) where we saw a
good view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the islands, and other things around it. We also saw a view of the whole city with a telescope, which was beautiful. We then eat our food, which we had packed from home. We also took a few pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. We saw a tour bus that was headed to Sausalito, where we were planning to go next, so we decided to board the bus. Sausalito is a SF Bay Area city in Marin County, CA.The bus driver gave us a fun journey to Sausalito, with a open top. When we reached Sausalito, we roamed around for a while, and saw the different shops and restaraunts. Sausalito is seven miles away from Vista Point. We even enjoyed some vegan ice cream, at Lappert’s Ice Cream parlor, and saw an ornament shop, with pretty ornaments. After that, we decided to head back to the bus. We then went on a thrilling journey across the Golden Gate Bridge, and back twice! It was very windy, so our hair and clothes were flying really hard!! When we finally got back to Vista Point again, we got off the bus, and then got on our own car, and headed to our next destination, Marin Headlands. The Marin Headlands is a hilly peninsula at the southernmost end of Marin County, California, USA, located just north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, which connects the two counties and peninsulas. We took a few pictures of Marin Headlands, and saw some fishermen, and then headed back to the car. After sitting in the car, we then headed to Fort Baker, our next destination, which was pretty high up on a hill. Fort Baker is one of the components of California’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Fort, which borders the City of Sausalito in Marin County and is connected to San Francisco by the Golden Gate bridge. After this, we went to Ghirardelli Square, and enjoyed chocolate-filled goods. Overall, was a wonderful and unique journey to San Franciso.
